Evaluating A Home
When you have found the home you love, it will be tempting to say "This is it!" and stop there. But there are other important things to consider. Stop and look at a few key components. This personal evaluation on your part could save you time and money.
Check the electric system to make sure there aren't any problems. See if the roof looks like the shingles are curling or missing, or find out the age of the roof. Look to see the age and condition of the appliances. Ask how well the heating and cooling systems work. Watch for shifts in the foundation or large cracks and any sign of water leaks or seepage. See if there are any exterior repairs that are needed or if the property could use a fresh coat of paint, inside and out!
This is a personal visual evaluation only. Every buyer has the right to get a property inspection performed by a certified inspector. I will provide you with names and contact information of property inspectors.
